Recording Studios

Nine state of the art specialist studio spaces, all purpose built for making music and audio post-production to the highest of standards.

Consisting of:

Six fully featured control and live room pairings. Each come equipped with Avid's Pro Tools HDX systems, fully-analogue 24-36 channel Heritage Edition mixing consoles from Audient, S3 digital control surfaces from Avid, and extensive outboard processing units from industry leading makers such as Empirical Labs, Bricasti, Lexicon, Universal Audio and API. All six studios offer everything needed for modern, digital-recording workflows as well as the option for fully analogue recording with one of our three 24-track tape machines, including the classic Studer A820 2” recorder. Audio monitoring is provided by PMC or ATC mid-field main monitors and Neumann KH310 nearfield monitors, with an Avantone MixCube in each studio to ensure mono-compatability. Live spaces come with bespoke acoustic treatment and furniture, with a selection of drum kits from Ludwig, Gretch, Yamaha and DW. Every room has an upright or baby grand Piano and a range of amplifiers from Orange, Fender, Ampeg and Vox.

The Composition Studio is a creative space designed specifically for the needs of modern electronic music production. Boasting a large array of both analogue and digital synthesizers and drum machines, the room also provides 7.1 surround sound monitoring and extensive digital interconnectivity.

The 7.1 Surround Studio is designed for full 7.1 surround sound mixing and comes readily equipped for video playback and editing; ideal for Film, TV and Game audio mixing.

The Voice Acting Studio comprises three specialist spaces, enabling it to be used as a radio drama studio, voiceover studio or dubbing suite to create audio for film & television. A large live room provides Foley and sound effect equipment such as a wind machine, gravel pit and staircase. In addition, a spacious 'dead room' can be used for Automatic Dialogue Replacement or spot effects that require a more controlled acoustic environment. Finally, the central control room/podcast studio comes equipped with Avid's Pro Tools Ultimate, Media Composer and their S3 and Dock digital control surfaces. Video playback in all three spaces allows for flexible recording setups.
