==Specification==
Material for display on the screens is provided by the School and centrally by the University.

When producing content for public display, please remember to include the '''name''' of your event, the '''date and time''' that it will take place, and any '''ticket and contact information'''. Try to '''not''' include large amounts of text; use imagery to attract attention and include a web address where people can find further information. If you are producing film or video content for advertising an event, please remember to hold the information on screen long enough for people to read! A better method would be to use an overlay, displaying the event information throughout the length of your film.
Content for the displays should be provided at a minimum of '''1920 x 1080''' resolution, or '''1080 x 1920''' resolution for portrait displays. Content is not rotated, therefore landscape content on a portrait display, or vice versa, will be letterboxed or pillarboxed and appear at a reduced size.

All content must be age appropriate and suitable for viewing by members of the public. Posters should be produced to a high standard. Poorly produced or inappropriate material will be rejected.
While "4K" content at 3840 x 2160 is supported, the displays are not all capable of this resolution, and content will be scaled down automatically on those panels. If, for artistic reasons, lower resolution content is to be displayed it must first be scaled up to the minimum resolution, or provided at its original size on a 1080p canvas. It is preferable to do this before submitting the content, as it gives the creator more control over the method of display.

Replay of content subject to copyright will require confirmation of permission from the copyright holder.
All content will be re-encoded by the display screen system when uploaded.

In exceptional circumstances, such as a special event or conference, it is possible to temporarily override other content. Please discuss this when submitting your media.
Most formats are supported, but still images are usually accepted as '''JPEG''' or '''PNG''' files, while video can be '''H.264''' or '''H.265''' encoded in '''MOV''' or '''MP4''' containers. '''Animated GIF files are not supported.'''

Should the display system run out of content a fallback playlist will be displayed.

There are fourteen display screens around New Adelphi used for displaying student work and promotional material.

Specification

Content for the displays should be provided at a minimum of 1920 x 1080 resolution, or 1080 x 1920 resolution for portrait displays. Content is not rotated, therefore landscape content on a portrait display, or vice versa, will be letterboxed or pillarboxed and appear at a reduced size.

All content will be re-encoded by the display screen system when uploaded.

Most formats are supported, but still images are usually accepted as JPEG or PNG files, while video can be H.264 or H.265 encoded in MOV or MP4 containers. Animated GIF files are not supported.

Should the display system run out of content a fallback playlist will be displayed.

Posters

Seven of the screens are single panels, primarily for still image "posters". They are used to provide general purpose information and promotional material, with each poster displayed for around twenty seconds.

These displays can be found in the following locations:

Screen Location
Balcony (Level 2) Faces out from the Level 2 lift balcony into the atrium. Visible from the mezzanine opposite.
Lifts (Level 0) Facing the bank of three lifts in the basement.
Lifts (Level 1) Facing out into the atrium next to the four lifts.
Lifts (Level 2) Facing the rear side of the three lifts.
Lifts (Level 3) Facing the rear side of the three lifts.
Lifts (Level 7) Facing the three lifts.
Reception On the wall in reception.

Video

Other display screens show both video and still image content.

These displays can be found in the following locations:

Area Location
Atrium (Level 1) Video panel facing the southern Café entrance.
Broadwalk Windows (Level 1) Three portrait displays facing out onto the Broadwalk through the building.
Music Window (Level 1) Single panel display facing out towards the Business School.
Studio Theatre Window (Level 1) Single panel display facing out towards Newton.
Theatre (Level 1) 3x3 video wall adjacent to the Business School entrance.

Content Guidance

All content must be suitable for viewing by members of the public. Content should be produced to a high standard; poorly produced or inappropriate material will be rejected.

Replay of content subject to external copyright will require an appropriate licence or written confirmation of permission from the copyright holder.

In exceptional circumstances, such as a special event or conference, it is possible to temporarily override other content. Please discuss this when submitting your media.
