There are five lifts in New Adelphi, two of which are designated fire fighting lifts with redundant power supplies, which would be commandeered by the emergency services in the event of a fire.

For this reason it is critical that fire fighting lifts are not blocked by transport of goods and under normal circumstances should only be used by passengers.

Atrium Lifts

There are three lifts which face into the main atrium; two standard passenger lifts and one goods lift (also used for passengers).
