This page aims to cover some of the most common questions people have regarding services at New Adelphi.

Bookings

The Equipment Store and the Recording Store both provide specialist technical items to staff and students in the School of Arts & Media. They both use the New Adelphi Booking System to manage reservations, collections and returns.

Some studio facilities can also be booked through the system; currently the Photographic Studios and Recording Studios.

  • "How do I book equipment?"
    • We use an online booking system known as Connect2. All equipment bookings should normally be arranged through this website; it allows you to check availability and reserve items in advance. It will also keep you up-to-date through email, so you'll know what you've booked, when you should be collecting it and when to bring it back.
  • "How do I get access to the booking system?"
    • Visit the New Adelphi Booking System website and you will see a 'Register' link in the top-right corner. You will need your University email address (either @salford.ac.uk or @edu.salford.ac.uk) to be able to sign up for an account.

What can I borrow?

We have an extensive selection of still and motion cameras in the Specialist Equipment catalogue, alongside lots of portable audio recorders, display equipment for events. On the whole, of you can see it, you can book it! If you are a student on a Recording course, you’ll be able to book your studio time and view the recording equipment catalogue.
