Production Studios
Our production studios are available when not in use for teaching.
Rates
Screen 1
This studio has a fixed set with three-camera 1080i50 recording to an EditShare Geevs system.
Price on application.
Screen 2
This is a multipurpose black-box space for recording. Chroma key (green) curtains are permanently hung behind black curtains on a dual rail system around the room. The room has minimal installed lighting, but has a full grid with DMX control.

Recording Studios
Our recording studios are available when not in use for teaching.
Rates
Hire rates include access to the majority of our microphone stock and cabling, plus the use of in-situ live room equipment, including stands, piano, drum kit and backline. Please check the recording studio information pages for details of the equipment provided in each space. Costs also include building opening and basic security, plus a member of staff for equipment sign-out and to comply with our safety policies.
If booking Studio 6, the rate does not include access to the Band Room, which must be organised separately.

Pianos are tuned regularly throughout the year, but there is no guarantee of tuning condition. We can arrange tunings in advance of your session at a cost of £50 per tuning.
Terms
Hire charges do not include an engineer. If you have not used our studios before, one hour of engineer time will be charged in your first booking for orientation and initial support. It is at the discretion of our engineer whether the hiring technical team meet the expected standards for unaccompanied use of the studios. Your booking may be cancelled or access to equipment restricted, without refund, if it is determined that the studios cannot be used without support.
All bookings must comply with our safety policies and are dependent upon the advanced submission and approval of risk assessment documentation. Our facility risk assessments are provided on the individual recording studio information pages and can be referenced in your own submission.
