There are five lifts in New Adelphi, two of which are designated fire fighting lifts with redundant power supplies, which would be commandeered by the emergency services in the event of a fire.

There are three lifts which face into the main atrium; two standard passenger lifts and one goods lift (also used for passengers). The fire fighting lifts are segregated, adjacent to the Stairwell 1 and Stairwell 6.
