Recording Studio Rules
New Adelphi Recording Studio Rules
You will find here a list of all the rules you are agreeing to by booking and using the New Adelphi Recording Studios.
Rules
1. No food or drink to be consumed in the recording studios with the exception of screw capped bottled water
The studios are full of expensive electrical equipment, which are in some cases also very rare and essentially irreplaceable. There's plenty of space outside the studios for consuming food or beverages and a kitchenette with a kettle for tea and coffee. There is an exception for bottled screw cap water for staying hydrated but please keep this a safe distance from the studio equipment.
2. Absolutely no alcohol or drugs in the studios
Technically covered by the rule above but it is worth noting separately: if you are caught with alcohol in the studio you will face an immediate 2 week ban.
3. Show up to your studio sessions
The studios are a finite and essential resource in completing your technical assignments here on the music degrees at Salford and the amount of time available to you is very generous, we absolutely want all everyone to be able to have access to the studios to be able to learn and improve. However, a lot of studio time is lost to people not showing up or cancelling at the last minute every year, wasting time that could have been used by someone else. If you cannot make a session or need to cancel please do this as soon as possible by letting us know or manually changing your session on Connect2.
