There are fourteen display screens around New Adelphi used for showing student work and promotional material. Seven of these displays are distributed around the building. They are single panels generally dedicated to still image content. To ensure equal exposure, each "poster" is displayed for twenty seconds from the carousel of images.

===Content===
The largest ''Atrium'' display is generally dedicated to student work.
Material for display on the screens is provided by the School and centrally by the University.

When producing content for public display, please remember to include the '''name''' of your event, the '''date and time''' that it will take place, and any '''ticket and contact information'''. Try to '''not''' include large amounts of text; use imagery to attract attention and include a web address where people can find further information. If you are producing film or video content for advertising an event, please remember to hold the information on screen long enough for people to read! A better method would be to use an overlay, displaying the event information throughout the length of your film.
The large ''Theatre'' display shows promotional content for the theatres and performance spaces, and is accompanied by a smaller ''Studio'' display, facing out of the window next to the Studio Theatre entrance, towards the Newton building.

All content must be age appropriate and suitable for viewing by members of the public. Posters should be produced to a high standard. Poorly produced or inappropriate material will be rejected.
The ''Window'' displays facing out onto the Broadwalk are for special exhibition purposes.

Replay of content subject to copyright will require confirmation of permission from the copyright holder.

There are fourteen display screens around New Adelphi used for showing student work and promotional material. Seven of these displays are distributed around the building. They are single panels generally dedicated to still image content. To ensure equal exposure, each "poster" is displayed for twenty seconds from the carousel of images.

The largest Atrium display is generally dedicated to student work.

The large Theatre display shows promotional content for the theatres and performance spaces, and is accompanied by a smaller Studio display, facing out of the window next to the Studio Theatre entrance, towards the Newton building.

The Window displays facing out onto the Broadwalk are for special exhibition purposes.

Specification

Content for the majority of our displays should be provided at an aspect ratio of 16:9 and a minimum of 1920 x 1080 (FHD) resolution. This is our recommended format for the best balance of file size and image quality.

While "4K" content at 3840 x 2160 (UHD) is supported, not all displays are capable of this resolution. Content will be scaled down automatically on lower resolution panels.

Our Broadwalk window displays are portrait orientation and require content at an aspect ratio of 9:16 and a minimum of 1080 x 1920 pixels.

Content is not automatically rotated, therefore landscape content on a portrait display, or vice versa, will be letterboxed or pillarboxed and appear at a reduced size. This may be an artistic choice, so is left available as an option.

For similar artistic reasons it may be desirable for lower resolution content to be displayed. This content must first be scaled up to the minimum resolution, or provided at its original size on a canvas of the minimum resolution. This should be completed before submitting the content, as it gives the creator more control over the method of display.

All content will be re-encoded by the display screen system when uploaded.

Still images are accepted as JPEG or PNG files, while video can be H.264 or H.265 encoded in MOV or MP4 containers.

PowerPoint, PDF, and animated GIF files are not supported.

Content from PDFs and PowerPoint must be exported as individual image files. Please refer to Microsoft's documentation on how to achieve this.

The resulting content will not be interactive and the display screens do not support this.

If you require interactive content then alternative equipment should be arranged.

Please also note that physical paper sizes (eg. A4) are the default for PDF and a ratio of 4:3 is commonly used with PowerPoint. Neither of these ratios are compatible with the displays.

Conversion
